This episode we introduce our special guest Knot.  He is the alliance leader of IEG’s & my last alliance in Marvel Strike Force (MSF).  We wanted to have him on to tell some horror stories about running an alliance. Murder-suicide on the UCI Campus

FighterWizard is coerced by Raider to discuss the recent murder-suicide at their former campus.  Raider willingly dives head first into this touchy topic… maybe that was not the best metaphor in this situation.  However, Raider uses this news item to point out the rigors and pressure certain Asian students face from their family and culture, especially if they hope to get an advanced degree.  Both these guys have seen it first hand and give their Western perspective of watching this dynamic play out.

Correction: Raiderlance starts off the podcast with misinformation.  The Supreme Court ruling for Thomas Dobbs, State Health Officer Mississippi Dept. of Health was a 6 to 3 decision, not a 7 to 2 decision as Raider stated.  And yes, you were correct FighterWizard.
 
Correction #2: here is the definition of  or·​dered liberty - freedom limited by the need for order in society. Note: The concept of ordered liberty was the initial standard for determining what provisions of the Bill of Rights were to be upheld by the states through the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
 
Alright guys this is a serious topic.  So Raiderlance immediately starts off by getting his biases out of the way and makes a joke that is sure to piss off both sides of this hot topic.  Raider then puts on his thinking cap and gives Maximum Effort when breaking down the United States Supreme Court case law surrounding the right to an abortion. 
 
He first gives the procedural history of the Dobbs case that was decided this year.  Next, he lays out the three main points in the holding of this recent decision.  Finally, he makes it through two out of three prongs of the Supreme Court’s analysis when determining the constitutionality of the right to an abortion.

FighterWizard educates Raider on the differences between RPGs & JRPGs.  The episode finishes up with Raider making an anime recommendation and discussing how he would like to spend his final days on this planet when he is old and bedridden.  But let’s be honest, no way his wife doesn’t put him down while he is sleeping before then.

She-Hulk, Attorney At Law Is Woke.

Raiderlance pulls no punches and goes hard on this show.  He tried to be nice, he tried to be understanding, he tried to give the writers the benefit of the doubt, but in the end, he only gets insulted by the show.  Raiderlance & IEG go back and forth about whether or not the show s*** the bed.  They also discuss whether this was just the female perspective and that the male audience should not feel insulted.  Not going to lie Raiderlance comes off misogynist while IEG does his best to white knight.  We here at Combative Nerds try to look at both sides of an argument and we think Raider did a better job than IEG.  So, we will work on being more balanced in the future.  
 
Raiderlance makes it clear that only thing more insulting than the continuous negative depiction of males in this show is Ben Affleck playing Batman.  Hopefully the writers and the director get their panties up in a bunch over this review just like IEG does when I point out the truth about Ben Affleck as Batman.

A Slam So Intricate & Brutal That It Derailed The Show

The fellas haven’t spoken in a while so they had some catching up to do… and the best way to do that is with an opening salvo from Raiderlance.  We are being completely honest, it took Raiderlance over a week and multiple hours to stitch this slam together.  Raiderlance does the old one two but feinted the one and landed an overhand two.  From there on out the episode just kept downward spiraling and in the end the joke is on Raiderlance because he regrets expanding his insults beyond Brazilian jiu jitsu. Look folks they are not all going to be winners.  If Raider’s parents could accept that then so should you.

FighterWizard & Raiderlance spend a solid forty minutes gushing over the new Disney+ show Andor.  They both agree that the story telling and perspective of this show is a breath of fresh air for the Star Wars universe.  We cannot wait to see watch the rest of this series unfold.
